Local Northern Virginia Resident Reunites Handcrafted Chair with Manufacturer, Sam Moore, at Belfort Furniture

Sarah, a Fauquier County resident, found signatures of all the craftspeople who worked on her Great Uncle's chair on a label. This curiosity led Sarah to research the manufacturer of the chair, Sam Moore, and find that they are still making handcrafted furniture in the United States.

Sarah reached out to Sam Moore about her family heirloom chair and met with Phil Garrett and David Moldenhauer of Hooker Furniture (Sam Moore's parent company) and Matt Huber of Belfort Furniture in Belfort's Showroom. The vintage chair has now been passed to Sam Moore to showcase in their Bedford, Virginia headquarters and High Point, North Carolina Showroom.

Sam Moore and Belfort helped Sarah select a chair and fabric that suit her home's style and successfully delivered it to her!  “The new chair will be a stylish and comfortable addition to our family room, as we not only enjoy its workmanship, but also appreciate Sam Moore’s individual craftsmen and craftswomen, past and present,” Sarah said, quoted in a blog post about the experience on Hooker Furniture's blog.
