We know that our choices for home décor draw on our likes and interests, but so often we’re finding inspiration for interior design through fashion. These two seem to go hand-in-hand and during the awards season we’re all drawn to the small screen to see what our favorite celebrities are wearing down the red carpet. The 2014 Oscars certainly didn’t disappoint with amazing looks and fabulous fashion. Not only do we look forward to seeing what our favorite celebrities are wearing to the Academy Awards, but we’re always eager to see what the trends are across the red carpet. We love to see our home furnishings trends lining up or following behind the fashion industry. Take a look at some of our picks for best dressed at the 2014 Academy Awards and see what each trend has inspired us to choose for home design.
It seems like multiple celebrities fell in love with sparkling nude dresses this year for the Oscars and we’re loving it! The soft hue with glittering details provides a luxurious look that also has a soft, subtle side.
Angelina's chic floor length dress with long sleeves, sheer detailing, and metallic texture inspired us to choose the luxurious desk from the Salon Collection by Bernhardt. The desk features a unique metal base with circle designs at each end. Paired with the elegant upholstered wing chair, this setting is a dream in itself.

Kristin Chenoweth looked amazing in a strapless, sculptured Roberto Calvalli gown. The geometric detailing in metallic hues inspired us to choose the round dining table from Bernhardt's Salon Collection. The metal base creates a graceful appeal and the glass top allows for an eclectic look.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum's figure hugging Reem Acra gown shows off just the right amount of sparkle and elegance up top, then slides into a fun, full, tulle skirt. We love the transition between these two textures and see the trend mimicked in the Salon Bedroom Collection with the cut-out panel bed and metallic scalloped shaped nightstand.

Sandra Bullock chose a strapless gown with a side swept gathering effect across the bodice and hip. The pleated detailing across her hips, bodice, and around her waist hug her body in all the perfect ways to create a flattering silhouette. Her choice of this royal navy blue gown with pleated detailing inspires us to choose the Chelsea Chesterfield Sofa with tufting details and the same royal hue.

At the top of many best dressed lists, Lupita Nyong’o shined in a plunging v-neck prada gown. The ethereal ice blue dress perfectly fit and flattered the award winning actress with soft classic curves created by the flowing fabric. She's inspired the perfect accent piece for any room, the Creston Chair by Bernhardt. Featuring a soft blue fabric and white finish this upholstered chair adds an elegance to your home in an instant. This Victorian accent is adorned with soft curves throughout the chair's frame.

A Striking Appeal
Jennifer Lawrence made a strong statement in a solid scarlet hued dress by Dior Haute Couture. The fitted strapless dress had a little flair with peplum detail and Jennifer adorned the gown with a backwards necklace. Her ensemble inspired us to add some red flair in our homes with the Daphne Sectional by Natuzzi. Featuring a tufted back and flair arm style, this sectional is a fashionable piece for sure.

Kate Hudson definitely didn't disappoint with a showstopping Versace gown that 'wow'd' with a plunging neckline and a cape with structured shoulder detail. The glistening white hue was the perfect choice and the right amount of sparkling embellishments added that 'je ne sais quoi'. This look inspired us to bring some luxury and glamour to our bedrooms with the Charleston Regency Cathedral Bed by Stanley Furniture. The shape of the headboard, pulling from ancient Greece, reminds us of the structure of Kate's gown. We love the modern update with a smooth ropemakers white finish and the clear brass hardware is the perfect sparkle.

Charlize Theron was simply stunning on the red carpet in Dior Haute Couture. Her classic black dress featured soft curves creating a plunging neckline, a trend we saw throughout the night. This gown's slimming silhouette fit and flattered Charlize perfectly but the train is what set this dress apart from the rest. A beautiful layering effect adorned the bottom of the skirt and sheer fabric added a different texture. Charlize's modern elegance inspired us to choose the East Gate Dining Collection, a set featuring a rich, dark finish and open slat back side chairs with a slight curve at the top.
